If you're like me you might go into a bookstore and see some great Christian books on some obscure (or maybe not-so-obscure) topic and buy them. Almost immediately the book(s) is set on your shelf while you try to finish reading the other five books on your list. Your excuse for buying more books is that it was recommended to you or it's just a topic in which you're interested or you sincerely want to see growth in a specific area in your life that the book addresses. After buying the book(s), your guilt increases as it remains on your shelf collecting dust for months while your friends mock you for still not having read the most amazing and enlightening book of the century.
Well, let the stress end! I came across this humorous yet potentially helpful guide to buying books. Now you will know when to say "No" to that wonderful yet maybe unnecessary book. ENJOY!
May we all be intentional in what we read so that we can be disciplined and sharpened for greater growth in grace.
