Originality....

Okay; so, a friend of mine says that I would be a great blogger especially while using other people's posts. What does that mean?!

Maybe today I should prove that I can be a great blogger despite the usage of other people's blog notes.

This morning I read the story of Jacob and Esau (and how Jacob deceived his father into giving him Esau's blessing). I found this text interesting for a couple of reasons:

1. Esau must have been very hairy for Jacob to have deceived Isaac into thinking he was Esau simply by putting animal fur on his neck, hands and arms. YIKES!

But, on a more serious note.

2. God had told Isaac that the older (Esau) was going to serve the younger (Jacob) at birth. Why was Isaac so persistent in blessing his son - potentially against the command of God?

3. Was Rebekah trying to work God's will through her sinful methods? Meaning, did she know that Jacob was supposed to be blessed and Isaac was blinded by his favoritism as a father? Hence, she did a wrong thing to get the right outcome?

4. Either way, God used deception to bring about good - which just shows that no matter what comes across God's path, he will NEVER be thwarted. His plan of the redemption of humankind through Christ was planned before the foundation of the world and God won't let us tiny creatures thwart what only he can do. AMEN!!

Those are a couple of thoughts regarding my Bible study this morning. Let me know your thoughts. Keep looking to Christ!
