Anonymous, I will try to answer your questions here by the Grace of God...

what is abosolute truth? How does that afect our christian life and walk with God? Do we believe in absolute truth?

That is a very good question. What really is abosolute truth? Abosolute truth is where THE TRUTH is abolutly right, no matter what other people say. So, through Christ is the only way! Christ is the
abosolute truth
It affects our Christian life by knowing that God/Jesus is the only way. people might try to attack christianity and say, "Your way is the only way?"
We answer back with, "Yes, we didn't make up our belief system, it is the only way" Make sence?

what is freewill, does it justify all our actons?

Free will, it all depends how you see, 'Free Will'. In our perspective we have 100% free will. But to God's view we do not. This is very confusing and since we are human and stupid, we can not fully understand God. You may want to pick up, Bondage of the Will by Luther or Bondage and liberation of the Will by Calvin...
It kindof goes into election as well. God choose us, but because he choose us and loved us, therefore we love Him and now in adoption of Christ. But you see, God commands us to do certain things. We are responisible for our actions, but God is also sovergeion(A perfect plan). I don't know how these work together, but someone because I am not God, it does...Make sence, anyquestion referring to free will?

Why can't we be saved by just trusting?

That's a little harder to answer...I trust in God but who gave me the grace to trust? God did. Even the demons believe in God but they do and can not have a intimate personal relationship with Jesus. But why not just trusting? simply, because God tells us not that's not the way.

Rom 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Is ther any PROOF that ther is a God, I mean solid proof, and not using the bible?

Well, let me ask you this question? Who made the world? By an explosion? A giant spider rolled...but who made the spider? You might ask who Made God. It gets really confusing and your brain might start to hurt. But God is eveident by our world. How do the leaves know when to come out and then fall? By the cold weather you may say. But how do they know it's cold if the have no nerves? It's God! It's so cool. God says in His Word that false teachers will rise up and claim to be Christ and do miraculous signs. That's happened. In the Bible also says that these water things are in the water. And scientist found them. I don't exackly know where that is. All the earth around us points to God, the Creater!

Have any other questions, please ask! I enjoy your comments!

I have a problem. I'm, well, let's say distracted. Constantly. I have a hard time getting homework in on time. I know that God made me this way for a reason, and, I'm not asking why, I just need to know how to get around the problem and get work in on time. It's screwing up my grades and everything. Please help!

Pastor Timothy said...

Little Woody:

I understand what you're saying. I had a very hard time in school and college getting things done on time. If I wanted to get things done, I had to be willing to sacrifice the things I wanted (BMX racing, Worms Armageddon - these are computer games). Anyway, I just want you to first know that I understand. Secondly, you can do something about it. I want you to know that God doesn't give you something that you can't handle. If He says you need to obey your authorities, you can. But, I know that you're feeling like you can't now. And that's actually a good place to be because now you can really rely on God's grace. When you get something done, you can be confident that God did it through you. That's an awesome thought, isn't it?!

Anonymous said...

Thanks a lot. I'm going to try my best to rely on God and sacrifice the stuff I like to do to get my work done.

Anonymous said...

Another thing just came to me. Those devotions sent to us in the mail are confusing me. If God chose which of us would be saved, and who wouldn't, then what does it mean for us to have free will? I don't understand. To have free will, you have a choice. But, if God sets everything in motion, how can we have free will?

Anonymous said...

I could probably ask a thousand questions. My dad is having a problem with one of his students at school. They're accusing him of throwing away his paper without grading it. What should I tell him?

AgapeTheologian said...

WOODY,

ELECTION

Well, you are basically asking about election. God choose who will be saved before the foundation of the world. God only offered his special grace to a few or many. Everything is for God's glory. It is all under His plan.

Just like Pharoah, why did God raise Pharoah up to have his heart hardened? Did God sin? NO! But for God's glory. We can not fully understand God and I will go as far to say we no very little about God. We know as much as we need to which may seem a lot to us but in reality is very little.

Everything happens for His glory. Say God choose to take someone from this world.(to die) We may think as that unfair or why. But who are we to ask our master, we are the clay and God is the Creator. Who am I to question my Creator? I am the creation.

We are saved by God's grace.(Eph 2:8) We would not be saved if it were not by His grace since we are totally sinful and can not to any good apart from Christ. We would choose sin! But because of Christ, and His grace, and because He choose us, believers, as the elect will come to God.

I hope this helps...If you are a beleiver, God predestined you whick means HE CHOOSE YOU and you can be completly assured you are saved! YOU CAN NOT LOSE YOUR SALVATION. YOU ARE THE ELECT!

well I still donot get the part with being friends with a god who wants to pour his wrath on the earth, even though I know that I am saved, I donot understand this concept.

God is a just God, he has to justify sins. He is the justifier. The only way for us to be seen as justified is for Christ to die for us. Since He died for us, We can be with God. God pured out every single sin that a believer commited and Jesus bore it on the cross. Think about how much he had to bare. God just let Jesus have it for what we should deserve. But God said that is the only way! And Jesus went through with it to please the Father and during it, God the Father forsaked Jesus. Think about you going to die and your Dad just leaves you. It's because God hates sin and he saw Jesus as ALL sin. But since Jesus died for us and conquered death, we can be with Jesus and thank Him and vbe with our Father...God needed to pour every sin on Jesus so the elect can be with Him. It's really cool!

p.s.If anything is unclear please ask and if anyone wants to add, go for it!

Anonymous said...

do you think that God can sin??

Anonymous said...

who is anonymous??

AgapeTheologian said...

A girl with blone hair,

God can not sin! God is pefect that is how we can have a relationship with him. He he was imperfect, then what would be so amazing after all?

1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Satan tried his best to tempt Jesus but failed! God is perfect, that is why Jesus had to save the imperfect! Make sence?

Whoa! There are SO MANY comments. I don't know if I can respond to all of them right now. But I'll try....

"a with hair"!! - first I just have to laugh because you took the name that I said someone should take. You make me laugh!!! haha.... Anyway, I don't think that all kinds of anger is sin. There's a righteous anger and an unrighteous anger. AND, God cannot sin because sin is anything keeps us from being perfectly like God. So, God can't sin because He's God. Make sense?

gcl - For shorter books, I like Colossians. For a longer book, I LOVE ROMANS!!!!!!

little woody - about your dad and the student - are you wondering what to tell the student or your dad?

AgapeTheologian said...

Hair Girl,

Hate is a sin.

1Jo 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

If you hate is just like murdering him. But you asked if God can hate. God is perfect. He choose people for different things. If He hates it's ok, like Esaul. But we are just like Esaul but God choose to love us! I don't know why but God choose to offer his Special grace to us and not Esaul,

Rememmber God can not sin! If he sinned their goes everything. Sin is apart from God. God hates sin...Make sence???

mrs.field,
did you know that i will be leading the devotion at are next tnt??

Anonymous said...

hey, why do the most spiritual people that you look up to, are mostly hypocits, Imean, during church, they are so spiritual, but at school, they are just evil people. They only look like that when a pastor or adult is around.
Do you get what I am saying?
~Anonymous

Pastor Timothy said...

I think I know what you mean, but you've got to be careful who you call a hypocrite.

When you say that someone IS a hypocrite, you're saying they're unsaved. You might want to say instead, "Why is it that people act unsaved sometimes?"

But if you asked it that way, you'd have to answer why you sin too....

:)

Make sense?

Anonymous said...

anonymous,
i understand completly what your saying. i have a friend who seems like such a nice girl, but like you said, well not exacly hypocrites.
but i know what you mean

Pastor Timothy said...

To Anonymous and GCL,

I do understand what you're saying about people acting one way and then acting another though.

If they're your friends, you should feel free to confront them. If they're not, ask God to reveal to them the truth.

Also, ask God to reveal to you whether or not you're being too nit-picky. What I mean by that is maybe you don't like what they're doing because it hurts you instead of not liking what they're doing because it hurts God first. In that case, you need God to change your heart. Does that make sense?

We're so often prone to be deceived ourselves.

Anonymous said...

thanks pt2,
