Sick, Tired & Blessed

I returned home from Haiti almost four days ago! My welcome home present was basically montezuma's revenge!!! (sorry to gross you out)

Anyway, even though I got sick and even though I was tired and sweaty in Haiti, I am immensely blessed. I have way more than I deserve and I hope that I'm more thankful for it today than I was two weeks ago. I could go on and on about the trip via blog, but I only want to take a moment to share this one concept:

People can survive on much less than we think! Before you use the word "need" in the future, think twice. Is it really a "need"? And, since we can survive (and probably even thrive) on less than we have today, how could you maximize your stuff for the glory of God?

"Seek first the Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." ~ Jesus

I do want to hear more about Haiti, maybe when we go out to eat next week?

Thanks Pastor Timothy for your comment.

Yes, I was at a Halo party. I don't have a problem playing Halo, but I do not want to play Halo like I used to play it. I want to make sure my focus is on God and God alone. Which will also mean, Church comes first, family comes first, fellowship comes first etc...

I'm so glad that God taught you many lessons on the Haiti trip. I'm very glad you all are back, and it will be interesting to see the "results" of the trip, on the teens and you!

Timothy,

I just wanted to encourage you on your message to the kids this past week during VBT.

I didn't get the chance to hear it since I was practicing with the skit, but I heard it was phenomenal. My little sister, Cassie, said, "I wish he spoke every night". So, keep up the good work!

Because of His glory,
