New Attitude Conference (Saturday Morning)

Right now I'm in Louisville, KY awaiting the beginning of the New Attitude Conference. I can't believe I'm already here and am SO excited for it to begin.

I'm here with several others (including Tracy) and I'm excited to see what God is going to do this weekend. I'm praying for God to wake us up from our spiritual sleepiness, grant us a greater desire for Him, but, as I was reading in my devotions, I believe the Lord has given me some more specificity.

Ephesians 3:14-21 has taught me this:

We need the Spirit's power! Without the Spirit, we're dead in our own flesh. But, if we are blessed with his strength, which overpowers our sinfulness, then Christ will be pleased to intimately dwell with us. Hence, we'll be rooted and grounded in love. And, if we're rooted and grounded in love, by the Spirit's power, we will be able to comprehend the great love of Christ - which goes beyond knowledge - and we'll be filled with the fullness of God Himself!

Think of that - "filled with the fullness of God." What a blessing. What a joy! God Himself desires to fill us. We're nothing. He's everything! Oh, that God would be pleased to bless us with his abiding presence in greater fullness this weekend.

People might think this to be impossible, but Paul's closing words are of such encouragement to all Christians. God is able to do far more than this!

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21, ESV).

So, please continue to pray for us.

Thank you.
